How to read this

A spread is the head start a bookmaker gives the weaker side to make a one-sided fixture an even bet. Beating that number is called covering, and it is a different question from winning: a team can win by three as a seven-point favourite and still lose against the spread. This page shows how every club fared against that number in 2025, week by week.

Each square is one game

Green means the club beat its line that week, red means it didn't, and the stronger the fill the further clear they finished. Hover a square for the fixture, the score, the line and the margin. A blank square is a bye.

ATS

Their record against the spread — covers, then misses, then the share of games covered. A club can have a losing season and a winning ATS record; the two measure different things.

Avg

The average cover margin: points clear of the line per game. It separates a club that covers comfortably from one scraping home by a point, which the record alone hides.

Units

What backing them every week would have returned at standard -110 odds, where a winning bet returns 0.91 units and a loser costs 1. Break-even is roughly 52.4% — which is why a club can cover more often than not and still show a loss.

Where the lines come from

Closing lines — the last price before kickoff, which is the market's final word — sourced from ESPN BET and DraftKings. We hold them from the 2025 season onwards, so earlier seasons aren't shown.

Past results against the spread describe what happened; they are not a prediction of what will. Nothing here is betting advice.
