Two sides with something to prove meet in what shapes as the heavyweight clash of the round, with the Roosters looking to recover from a shock loss to the Wests Tigers against a Dolphins outfit hitting form at the right time.

The Roosters went into last week expecting to consolidate a top-two spot. The Tigers had other ideas, showing enormous spirit to steal a stunning 25-24 upset and send the Tricolours tumbling to third — just one place above this week's opponents.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, righted the ship against the Eels, though not before another slow start. Kristian Woolf's men coughed up early points to Parramatta, much as they did against the Broncos in Round 23, before clicking into gear with a string of quality tries. Against a stinging Roosters side chasing amends of their own after a 48-10 hiding in Round 15, that kind of head start is a luxury they can't afford.

Team News

Roosters: Skipper James Tedesco has again been named to return from the ankle injury that has kept him out for three games, pushing Cody Ramsey to the bench. Nat Butcher starts at lock in place of Victor Radley (head knock), with Taylor Losalu added to the interchange.

Dolphins: Woolf sticks with the same squad that got the job done against the Eels. Brian Pouniu reverts to the bench in his third game after being promoted to the starting side last week, with Max Plath named in the back row. Utility Kurt Donoghoe is listed among the reserves as he chases a return from the thumb injury he suffered in Round 23.
